Hapag-Lloyd Demurrage and Detention Fees Updated - US Ports January 2026

Hapag-Lloyd has updated their import demurrage fees for US ports. Shippers moving containers through Los Angeles, Long Beach, New York, Houston, Savannah, and other US gateways should note the new effective dates below.

Import (US ports)

  • Demurrage – Carrier haulage — effective January 1, 2026
  • Demurrage – Merchant haulage — effective January 1, 2026
